The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After graduating in Ag. Bio. Chem, I joined NABISCO at the Co. Research Center and headquarters. Along the way I received several patents. I was Chairman of the New York Section, American Association of Cereal Chemists. I had four children and lived in Ridgewood, NJ until 1991 when I retired after 35 Nabisco years to my childhood home in State College,PA. I was an active outdoorsman, enjoyed camping, skiing, and fishing in the Northeast. As retirement neared,I took up sailing more seriously. My second home is an Ericson 32 sloop berthed in Oxford, MD, on Chesapeake Bay's Eastern Shore. Back in State College, I co-chaired my 45th and 60th Penn State reunions and became active with the Centre Co. Chapter, Penn State Alumni Association and recently served as president. I have mentored students in the Fast Start and Global Connections programs. I served six years on Schlow Centre Region Library Board and am on the Centre Co. Historical Society Board - something I particularly enjoy because with family roots in the area. I now have six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Two years ago,I lost my wife, Lindy, to cancer and since then I have been on my own. I cherish my memories of growing up in State College and have watched the town and University grow. I follow many Penn State sports and particularly enjoy soccer, volleyball and football.
